Animal Bedding

Pollard’s Sawdust Supplies has provided quality animal bedding and nesting material for over 50 years. Our pine sawdust and shavings are processed and dust-extracted to give a consistently clean, dry and safe bedding, and are used everywhere from university research labs and commercial breeding facilities to horse stables, backyard coops and bird enclosures.

Made from 100% natural softwood (Pinus radiata) and kiln dried, our shavings are soft, highly absorbent and screened to remove fine, irritating dust particles. Bedding changes are less frequent and clean-up is quick. All products are sourced from chemical-free virgin timber from sustainably managed Australian plantations.

• Horse bedding: absorbent, low-dust shavings for stables, studs and racing operations.
• Chicken & poultry bedding: clean, dry litter for coops and poultry sheds.
• Rabbit bedding: soft, absorbent shavings for hutches and laboratories.
• Guinea pig bedding: gentle, low-dust bedding for cavies.
• Bird bedding & nesting: nesting material for aviaries, cages and lofts.
• Irradiated bedding: gamma-sterilised bedding for laboratories and research facilities.

• Animal bedding is bought and sold by volume, NOT weight.
• NO treated timbers are used when processing Pollard’s sawdust and shavings.
• All animal bedding products are graded and dust extracted.

Pack sizes and ordering

Our sawdust and wood shavings are bagged in woven polypropylene stitched bags and sold by volume, not weight. Bag sizes vary by product, from 60 litre bags for finer grades (single bags or by the pallet) up to 900 litre bulk bags. Commercial and bulk quantities are available year-round.
